Checking In

Hello Everyone! I can’t believe it’s been 2 months since we’ve posted, I hope you haven’t forgotten about us!

From the last couple of posts you may already know that John started Grad school through WGU on September 1st. He’s really been kicking butt and I am so proud of him. A few weeks ago he was surprised at work by the Chancellor of WGU Nevada, who awarded him a scholarship through the Latin Chamber of Commerce. Not only is this a great honor, but those funds will greatly help relieve some of the pressure and stress that comes along with continuing education.

We also hosted a wonderful Friendsgiving at our house, as well as a family Thanksgiving too. My brother Jim was able to visit from Olympia, WA to join us for the holiday and it was a wonderful day. Once again this year, we ordered our meal from Sprouts and it was just as delicious as we remembered.

Last week, we were lucky enough to join some friends to see Metallica at T-Mobile Arena. Our seats were amazing, and it was really great to have access to the Bud Light Lounge (private bathrooms, FTW!!). The band put on an awesome show and we all had a blast.

A few days ago, we had our family holiday pictures taken - these also serve as Rosslyn’s 18 month pictures (I can’t believe she’s that old already!). It was a very stressful day, she hated the flash from the camera and started crying. So we’re not really sure how they’ll turn out, but we definitely will have some good memories! This week she is going to meet Santa, and I’m pretty sure that is going to be a disaster too. LOL!!

Anyhow, be on the lookout for more posts from me - I have been so busy with so many different things, but I promise I have some great things to share. I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and is not too stressed getting ready for Christmas.
